Cambodia recorded more than 1 million tourists over the three-day holiday period of Pchum Ben, according to a report supplied by the Ministry of Tourism.
Tourism Minister Thong Khon told local media that the number of tourists visiting tourist destinations across the country rose to 1.112.403 million and of these, there were about 1,105,611 national guests and approximately 6,792 international guests.
The report also stated that Battambang province witnessed the highest number of tourist arrivals with about 134,440 people, followed by Siem Reap and Kampot provinces.
Despite the heavy rainfall in some provinces, most tourist destinations drew large crowds, and it was noted that food and accommodation prices also did not change significantly, making it an agreeable experience for all tourists.
