Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will launch three projects on development of agriculture and environment sectors in Cambodia.
The three projects will be launched in October, said Ms. MIYAHARA Ai, Deputy Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia Office during a meeting here on Sept. 22 with Veng Sakhon, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries.
The projects include rice seed production, pesticide usage and management, and environmental protection and preservation, she said, placing high hopes for the to-be launched projects to be successful.
Mr Sakhon welcomed the JICA-supported projects, stressing that they will contribute to the Government’s efforts in developing the agriculture and environment sectors by promoting the quality and safety of agricultural products, increasing productivity and ensuring rice seed quality, and protecting forests.
The Minister also expressed deep thanks to JICA and the Japanese government for their support so far for the agricultural development in Cambodia. Chea Vannak – AKP
