Garden City Water Park located in Prek Tasek commune, Chroy Changvar district, about 15 kilometres north of Phnom Penh, is scheduled to open on Aug 17, becoming the biggest and international standard water park in Cambodia.
With a total investment of $55 million by LYP Group, a conglomerate managing many businesses in Cambodia, the water park is situated inside the Garden City satellite city where the LYP Group operates $10-million Phnom Penh Safari, which has operated since 2018.
According to the firm, the water park is featured with interesting sections including man-made lagoon with wave of 3 metre height, beautiful man-made water fall, water slides, children playground, and steam and sauna facilities with various attractions and activities.
Top Sopheak, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Tourism, welcomed to the park’s upcoming opening, saying that it will serve as another tourism product to attract both national and international tourists to Phnom Penh.
“The opening of the water park is a new tourism product to attract tourists to visit the place and the park also provides jobs for people,” he said.
Constructed by White Water Group, based in England, the Garden City Water Park is built on six hectares of land. Chea Vannak – AKP
