Cambodian real estate developer Urbanland has opened its new K Mall on Veng Sreng Boulevard in Phnom Penh. The award-winning developer described the shopping centre as the only community mall of its kind, saying it offers the 500,000 plus residents of Veng Sreng and Chom Chao a wide range of shops and restaurants, along with a variety of outdoor spaces.
“Visitors of K Mall will be met by generous, thoughtful green public areas – places to relax and socialise with friends and family. They will experience the mall’s pristine and modern architectural features, with plenty of lush greenery to brighten up their mood,” said Urbanland Chief Executive Officer Hok Kang.
“The mall will house an exciting range of dining options and shops for daily essentials. Residents in the surrounding communities will enjoy access to well-known local and international brands such as Lucky Supermarket, Legend Cinema, Decathlon, Brown Coffee, Zando, Ten11, Daiso, Tous Les Jours, Nata Footwear, Santa Fe, Potato Corner, Pho Citi, the Ground Food Market and more, right in the neighbourhood,” he said.
K Mall’s soft opening took place last Friday.
The community mall is a part of KMH Park, a larger masterplan development by Urbanland to revitalise the Veng Sreng area. It faces the ISI Tower, also one of the first contemporary office buildings in the area. K Mall is a part of the fully integrated 6-hectares KMH Park development that includes the Mall, ISI Tower, 40 shophouses, the KMH football stadium and plenty of green spaces.
Urbanland is a member of ISI GROUP, which started as a steel roofing maker in 1997 and is now one of the Kingdom’s largest diversified companies.
“This whole masterplan symbolises the ISI GROUP’s efforts towards urban rejuvenation with a greater mission of providing positive social, economic and environmental benefits for communities and businesses in the area,” said K Mall General Manager Leang Rattana.
“Many tenants in K Mall are offering a variety of discounts throughout the month of November to celebrate the soft launch and welcome residents and commuters of the surrounding area to the new K Mall, a community hang out spot in the heart of Veng Sreng area,” he said.
K Mall can be found near to the Steung Mean Chey intersection on Veng Sreng Boulevard.
Urbanland was founded in 2013 by innovative young architect, Hok Kang. He operates under the principle that putting people at the heart of every project enriches people’s quality of life and creates a healthy environment.
Urbanland says its people-centred principles can be seen in its award-winning developments: Raintree commercial offices, Embassy Residences and the Embassy Central high-end condominiums. It also developed Treeline Urban Resort, an art and design hotel in Siem Reap, as well as Chankiri Palm Creek, Urbanland’s first residential gated community masterplan located on National Road 2.
Its vision for the new KMH Park masterplan development on Veng Sreng is a long-term commitment to transform the existing industrial land into a mixed-use business and lifestyle hub with office, retail, residential, parks and green spaces.
