A temporary arrival terminal at Preah Sihanouk International Airport will be operating in June as the runway extension project completes.
Cambodia Airports, the company developing and managing the three international airports in the Kingdom, said that the temporary arrival terminal will enhance the airport’s handling capacity of passenger arrivals.
“Along with the runway extension, the new temporary arrival terminal is scheduled for commissioning by end of June,” Cambodia Airport wrote in a Facebook post.
“The infrastructure will increase the capacity of our current terminal, which is currently used for both arrivals and departures,” read the statement.
The runway extension from 2,800 to 3,300 metres is expected to complete next month.
The new runway is to handle landing and take-off of long-haul aircrafts.
